Goals have been described as dreams with a timeline. But they are more than that. There is an important element missing from that statement – control. You have to have control over the dream.

Goals must be attainable. A goal to be President of the United States is unattainable if you were born in a foreign country.

Goals must be specific and measurable. “I will be rich” is too vague for the brain to give any credence.
